Natascha Myers on Yoga, Social Media,
Taking Control of Your Own Narrative,
and Being on a Floating Rock in the Sky

On this week’s episode of None of Us Are Normal, I am joined by singer/songwriter and brand designer, Natascha Myers. Natascha also happens to be my very own creative director via her company, Moons & Things Co., and a co-writer on my song Backburner, and I’m excited to share our conversation about what happens when plans change. We talk about overcoming societal and industry narratives, doing what’s right for you (and only you!), and adapting when goals inevitably change. Natascha shares her story about moving away from Nashville and starting a second career… all for the sake of her mental and creative health.

About Our Guest

With an unmistakable vocal quality and knack for lyrics, Myers’ sound is characterized by the production of a stadium show matched with the lyrical intimacy of an inner monologue.

Myers’ key prerogative is to craft confessional, emotion-driven tracks that capture feelings you’re otherwise without words for. Her persona is nostalgic and familiar, which is further enunciated by the 1950’s Vogue meets girl-next-door creative direction Myers has crafted around her music.

“With every song I write, I aim to capture a snapshot, in-the-moment feeling. It’s a bit like trying to catch lightning in a bottle because our feelings are so fleeting and multifaceted, but that’s what makes it worth it in the long run.”

Myers resides in Waterloo, IA and released her debut EP, Songs From A Hardwood Floor, in September 2019. The Americana, Fleetwood Mac-esque five-track EP received acclaim from CMT and Entertainment Focus, and was what Myers describes as “dipping her toe into what it really takes to be an independent musician.” Her debut full-length record, End Game, is set to release in Feb 2023. The highly-anticipated concept record will explore what it takes to take love on faith and what it’s like to lose it along the way.
